Enchanted Interlude

We stayed for 4 nights in this haven of peace with our two children, aged 12 and 16. We stayed in the "Lion" family bungalow, which offers a breathtaking view of the Bwindi Forest mountains.

Throughout our 5-day stay, Moses, Steeve, and Elisabeth truly pampered us; a huge thank you to the chef for the delicious meals. The lodge is ideally located—just a 10-minute drive from the start of the gorilla trekking and a stone's throw from the village, where we had some wonderful encounters. Every evening, the staff placed hot water bottles in our beds. One day, when we asked if it was possible to see a three-horned chameleon nearby, a staff member went above and beyond to successfully track one down for us...

Between the lodge and the village of Ruhija, we made friends that were very hard to say goodbye to!
